Beth Santa Maria, LCSW-C, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in perinatal mental health and other challenges women face across the lifespan.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and she earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of MD School of Social Work, with a Families and Children specialization. She spent 10 years of her career as a Program Director at a Mental Health agency. During this time, she also taught Advanced Practice with Families to Masters level students at Salisbury University as an adjunct professor.
She developed a passion for working with perinatal women and their families during her eight years at Frederick Health Hospital, where she supported women, children, and families on the Labor and Delivery, NICU, pediatric, and emergency units.
In her current role as a therapist, Beth uses CBT, solution focused, and supportive therapy to help clients heal and make lasting change.
As a mom/stepmom to five adult children and two grandsons, Beth understands the joys and challenges family life can bring. She will encourage you and offer you a warm and supportive space to explore your strengths and build resilience.
